The 42 mm resin lenses magnify the screen into a wide, cinema-scale image, and a focus dial on top lets you sharpen it to your own eyes. The padded face rest and T-shaped head strap spread the weight across your forehead and crown rather than resting it all on your nose, so longer sessions stay comfortable. When you are done, the front cover slides shut and keeps dust off the lenses until next time.

It has no screen, no battery and no processor — your smartphone provides all of that, and you will need to install a VR or 360° video app yourself. It fits phones with a 4 to 6 inch screen only, so most current large-screen phones will not fit — measure your phone before ordering. No Bluetooth remote and no phone are included.

- Take a break every 15 to 20 minutes. Some people experience dizziness, nausea, eye strain or disorientation in VR — stop immediately if you feel unwell.
- Not recommended for young children. Supervise older children closely and keep sessions short.
- Always use while seated, in a clear space away from stairs, furniture, glass and other people. You cannot see your surroundings while wearing it.
- The focus adjustment is a comfort feature, not a vision-correction device and not a substitute for prescription eyewear or an eye examination. Consult an optometrist about any vision concerns.
- Do not use if you have a history of seizures, severe motion sickness or an eye condition without medical advice.
- Clean the lenses with a dry microfibre cloth only. Avoid solvents, and keep the headset out of direct sunlight — the lenses can focus sunlight and damage the interior.
